In this unit, students explore the concept of sustainability and investigate how they can make a positive impact on the environment. They begin by examining different definitions and interpretations of sustainability and discussing why it is important for individuals and society as a whole to take action towards sustainability.

Throughout the unit, students engage in hands-on activities, such as conducting an energy audit of their school, designing and building a model sustainable home, and creating a public service announcement about the importance of sustainability. They also learn about the role of renewable energy sources in promoting sustainability and explore the pros and cons of different types of renewable energy.
