This unit focuses on energy and includes a range of activities that explore the topic from different angles. Students will learn about energy use, efficiency, and renewable energy technologies. They will also investigate the environmental impact of energy production and explore ways to reduce energy usage. The unit includes hands-on activities, research tasks, and creative writing exercises. Students will work in groups and individually to complete a range of tasks, including audits, data analysis, and evaluation of renewable energy technologies. The unit culminates in a project where students develop a class or school program to reduce energy usage and reflect on their role in creating and executing the project.
