STEM Future Careers for Queensland Teachers

  • STEM Futures: Energy Careers

    Developed with the support of the Queensland Government through Queensland’s Clean Energy Workforce Roadmap and the Clean Energy Council, these resources are designed to inspire and equip students with the skills and knowledge needed for the future of clean energy. 

A Comprehensive Suite of Teaching Resources

This package features 28 lessons spanning from Years 7 to 12, covering core STEM subjects including Science, Maths, Design and Technology, as well as QCE subjects like Chemistry, Physics, and Science in Practice. The program focuses on renewable energy sources such as wind, solar, pumped hydro, and battery technology, providing real-world context and highlighting career pathways in the clean energy sector.

Bridging STEM Learning and Energy Career Pathways

Teachers will find resources that build foundational STEM skills and promote awareness of exciting opportunities within this growing industry. Students will explore scientific principles, mathematical problem-solving, design thinking, and sustainability, helping them prepare for future careers while addressing the critical needs of transitioning to clean energy. Plus, the program showcases the Future Energy Jobs Guide, giving students a glimpse into the diverse roles available in this vital sector.
