Developed in partnership with Dental Health Services Victoria, these curriculum-aligned lesson plans for Years 3-6 students make learning about nutrition, dental hygiene and healthy habits fun and interactive. Get your students ready for your school's Smile Squad visit whilst building essential health literacy skills.

Designed alongside industry professionals

Download lessons and activities for primary teachers to explore oral hygiene and teach healthy habits. Through these resources, teachers can help their students learn about the importance of healthy teeth, mouth and gums. There is also a strong focus on ensuring students are getting their oral health messages from professionals – and the pros have approved and helped to create these lessons.

About these Resources

These Years 3-6 lessons are aligned to the Australian curriculum for English, Science and Health and Physical Education. They look at why our teeth are important, how we can care for our teeth and gums (brushing, flossing, diet, visiting the dentist), where we get our messages from regarding oral health and the connection between diet and teeth.
